Comrades,
Nebraska LB693 is the priority bill for the VFW Department of Nebraska, it is known as the Claim Shark Bill. This is a bill for an act relating to the Uniform Deceptive Trade Practices Act; to amend section 87-302, Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska; to provide that it is a deceptive trade practice to receive compensation for engaging in certain conduct relating to veterans benefits matters.
There will be a committee hearing on 12 March, Wednesday, at 1330, in room 1507. We need to fill that hearing room with veterans to learn more and show support for this important matter. Please attend and wear your VFW, American Legion or veterans organization hat if you have one and if not then any veterans hat will do.
